Aduvie International School was established in January 2008. It is located in a spacious and serene area of 6.1 hectares in the heart of Abuja, Nigeria.

Who we are

Aduvie, derived from a Nigerian language, means "a good future, a good thing or a good foresight". She has her roots in the rich Nigerian culture.

To create a child centered and conducive learning environment, which meets the needs of each and every child, so that he or she becomes a life-long learner.

School is no longer business as usual. It has gone through several periods of major changes and upheavals since the concept was hatched in ancient times. In today’s world, there is an ever-growing awareness and consensus all over the world on the need for schools to focus on producing internationally-minded individuals who will also possess the qualities of problem solvers and creative thinkers. Indeed, this is a major shift from the paradigms of previous civilisations.

Welcome to Aduvie International School, the home of international-mindedness. In fact, one of our 7 core values happens to be global-mindedness. There is an array of ways of describing international mindedness, but each description seems to point at the same meaning in a broad sense. Steve Mark, the Educational Director, International Primary Curriculum (IPC), describes it as a journey from “self” to “others”. Howard Gardner, while trying to describe the basis for human development, described international mindedness as “declining egocentrism”. It’s like saying less of me and more of others.
